About TryRust
TryRust is a free, interactive introduction to Rust. Each lesson pairs a short explanation with code you can edit and run right away. No account, no install, no toolchain to set up.
How it works
When you press Run, your code is compiled and executed by the official Rust Playground on the stable channel, edition 2024. Your progress and edits are saved in your browser.
Who builds it
TryRust is built by Oleksandr Kholodniak, who also maintains a few open-source Rust libraries:
- rougers — a fast ROUGE metric in Rust, with Python bindings (rouge-score-rs)
- langdetect-rs — a bit-exact Rust port of the langdetect language detector
- rank-bm25-rs — a bit-exact Rust port of rank_bm25 for BM25 search ranking
- rust-lstm — LSTM and GRU networks in pure Rust
